• Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. You can only register to this forum with your full name as username. All other members are also registered with their full names. (First and last name!) Our members just like to know who they are talking to. If you don't want to use your real name, you can not get access to our forum.

• To keep this forum running smoothly and decent, rules are made by the forum management. We expect from everybody who takes part in the forum, that he (or she) has read the rules, and thus knows the rules. Each member should oblige to these rules. Any violation of these rules can lead to temporary or permanent removal of the forum. The forum management can not be hold responsible for the content of messages made by users of this forum. Every user is completely responsible for the content of his (or her) own messages. The forum management has the right  to remove, edit, close or replace subjects and sub-forums at all times, at the moment the forum management finds this suitable.

• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. Our decision is final in these matters. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or such. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.  Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, and private message systems to spam other members. The forum management reserves the right to check private messages if abuse is suspected.

• We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate phpbb community standards. The forum management shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. Discussion or links to illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

• Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes offering hosting services (charged and free), installation services, solicitation etc. We do not allow posts for commercial purposes. A shop or product can be discussed, but one has to stay objective. In no way this forum can be used to promote his (or her) own products.

• Bonsai is an active hobby! As member of this forum you are thus supposed to contribute once in a while. The content and success of a forum is  determined by the contribution of ALL members together. Members who never contribute to the forum have no additional value for a forum, and shall be removed in time! As member of this forum, we expect you to - at least once in a year - to show some of your own work by 1 or more pictures. So to keep this forum running smoothly, we ask all members to take part of the forum. For this, you have to post at least once in a year something meaningful in a new or existing topic. Zero posters can be removed after 3 months of inactivity. Sleeping accounts without logins for more than 3 months, shall be removed for inactivity.

• If you do not want to participate in our forum - for private reasons - and still want to receive access to the forum, you can receive permission for this after a small financial contribution of 12 Euro a year to support the forum. This contribution is in no way intended to enrich somebody from the forum management, but will be used integrally as prize-money for our yearly photo-competition "Bonsai & Accent of the year". By donating this amount, you are also contributing to the forum, and thus allows you free access for a period of one year, without having to be an active member. After one year, you will be asked again to become an active member or to prolong/renew your subscription.
